• Descripción: Carphenazine is a phenothiazine antipsychotic drug. It is used in the treatment of chronic schizophrenia and other psychoses, as well as for relief of nausea and vomiting. Carphenazine has been shown to be an effective agent for reducing the symptoms of chronic schizophrenia, such as hallucinations, delusions, and bizarre behavior. It is also used to treat inflammatory diseases. Carphenazine is marketed in a variety of formulations including tablets, capsules, elixirs, syrups, suppositories, ampules and injections. These formulations are designed to provide prolonged release of carphenazine over several hours or days. The drug is insoluble in water but soluble in alcohols and polyethylene glycols.br>br>Carphenazine can be prepared as an analog by substituting one or more hydrogen atoms with nitrogen atoms at the 6th position on the benzene ring.br>br>It can also be prepared as a polymer by inserting it into an insoluble polymer
