• Descripción: Triethylmethylammonium bromide (TEMB) is a reactive, organic solvent that is used in the manufacture of polyetheramines, polyesters, and polyamides. It has been shown to have potential as an inorganic catalyst for metathesis reactions. The chloride ion of TEMB can be replaced with other anions such as sulfonic acids or hydroxyl groups to produce different ionic liquids with different properties. TEMB has been shown to have high hydrogen-bonding abilities and is able to form strong covalent bonds with both organic and inorganic compounds. This ability makes it possible for TEMB to act as a solid catalyst for various chemical reactions.
