Descripción

Pentadecanal is an analytical method that is used in the treatment of wastewater. It is a pharmacological agent, which has significant cytotoxicity to mammalian cells and also has long-term efficacy against carcinoma cell lines. This compound induces apoptosis in cancer cells by inhibiting the synthesis of DNA and RNA. The mechanism of pentadecanal is not well understood, but it may be due to its ability to inhibit cellular respiration and induce oxidative stress. Pentadecanal also contains bioactive phenolic compounds such as protocatechuic acid, which are found in plants and have been shown to have antioxidant properties.
