4,5-Dichloroveratrole is a chemical compound that is used as an intermediate in the production of other chemicals. It is highly reactive and toxic and must be handled with caution. The average concentration of 4,5-Dichloroveratrole in a phanerochaete chrysosporium culture was found to be 0.1%. 4,5-Dichloroveratrole has been shown to react stoichiometrically with peroxidase, hydroxylase, and methylated anisole.
