Información del producto
2-Fluoro-2-phenylethan-1-ol is a trifluoride compound that is used in the synthesis of epoxides. It can be obtained by reacting fluorine with 2,4,6-trimethylphenol. 2-Fluoro-2-phenylethan-1-ol has been shown to react with ethylene and create a ring opening reaction to form an epoxide. The nucleophilic nature of this molecule allows it to react with various substances including silicon, styrene, and hydrogen fluoride. This molecule is also able to undergo a stereospecific transfer reaction when the hydroxyl group on the right side of the molecule is replaced with a chlorine atom. Lastly, this compound is used as a reagent for biomolecular research.
