Sophorabioside is a flavonol glycoside that has been extracted from the fructus sophorae. Sophorabioside has shown an increase in locomotor activity in mice and rats, as well as an increase in phosphatase activity. It also has been shown to have anticomplement activity. Although there have not been any clinical studies on the effects of this compound, it has been shown to be effective at doses of 10-20 mg/kg in experimental models. The structure of sophorabioside is characterized by the presence of a fatty acid chain, which may be responsible for its pharmacological properties.
