Descripción

Thevetin B is a cardiac glycoside that belongs to the group of control agents. It has been shown to have cardiotonic and antiarrhythmic effects, as well as a weak anticholinergic activity. Thevetin B also binds to gamma-aminobutyric acid receptors in the central nervous system, which may be responsible for its sedative effects. This compound has been used in dietary supplements to help regulate blood pressure and heart function. It is also used as a sample preparation reagent for amino acids and fatty acids. Thevetin B has shown potential in clinical trials for the treatment of cervical cancer, although further research is required to confirm these findings.
