Descripción:Procinolol is a beta-adrenergic blocker that blocks the action of the sympathetic nervous system. It is used to treat high blood pressure and heart disease. Procinolol also has bronchodilating effects, which may be due to its ability to decrease airway resistance in the lungs by relaxing the muscles around the airways. It can also cause depression of myocardial contractility, leading to a decreased diastolic blood pressure and an increased cardiac output.
