Imidocarb is a toxic agent that is used for the treatment of cancer. It has been shown to be effective in the process of polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Imidocarb is used to optimize PCR process. It also has diagnostic properties and can be used as a cell culture medium. Imidocarb binds to fatty acids and serum bile acids, which may be due to its ability to induce chemotactic activity. This drug also has been shown to have an effect on the clinical response in splenectomized patients who are being treated with chemotherapy.
