Información del producto
Ceramide is a sphingolipid component of the outermost layer of the cell membrane. It is synthesized from sphingosine, which is derived from the amino acid serine, and palmitic and oleic acids. Ceramide can be converted to other lipid molecules such as glucosylceramide or dihydrosphingosine through several reactions. The c22 Ceramide (d18:1/22:0) has been shown to have hydration properties and may contribute to regulation of insulin resistance. This compound is also associated with heart disease due to its role in lipid metabolism.
