Descripción:1-(4-Chlorophenyl)-2-hydroxyethan-1-one is a selective enantiomer that inhibits the growth of candida parapsilosis and c. parapsilosis. It has been shown to be preferentially oxidized by candida parapsilosis and c. parapsilosis, which leads to its selectivity for these fungi. 1-(4-Chlorophenyl)-2-hydroxyethan-1-one has been shown to be a biphasic system that can inhibit the growth of both candida parapsilosis and c. parapsilosis, with biphasic activity being due to its ability to selectively oxidize alcohols in these fungi. This compound is also an enantiomer, making it more effective than other compounds with similar structures but different stereochemistry.
