3-Iodo-4-Methylbenzoyl Chloride is a potent compound with potent inhibitory activity against mutant BCR-ABL kinases. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of Ba/F3 cells, which are leukemic cells that express the BCR-ABL oncoprotein. 3-Iodo-4-methylbenzoyl chloride inhibits the proliferation of Ba/F3 cells by inhibiting the phosphorylation of tyrosine residues on various proteins, including the cyclin D1 protein. This inhibition leads to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. 3-Iodo-4-methylbenzoyl chloride also has potent inhibitory activity against mutant BCR-ABL kinases, including nilotinib and ponatinib.
