3,5-Diprenyl-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde is a compound that has been shown to have antibacterial activity against fungus. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of Aspergillus isolates in the environment and in culture. 3,5-Diprenyl-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde has also been shown to have synergy with antibiotics such as amphenicol and tetracycline against bacteria. The chemical structure of 3,5-diprenyl-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde is not yet known. However, it has been confirmed by NMR analysis that this molecule contains two stereogenic centers.
