It is an anticarcinogenic compound that inhibits the metabolism of tryptophan by blocking the enzyme tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase (TDO). GNF-PF-3777 has also been shown to increase the effectiveness of antigen-based immunotherapy. This drug has potent anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties, which are mediated by the inhibition of NFκB.
