The matrix effect in LC-MS/MS can be reduced by adding a large amount of urine samples. 5-Fluoro AB-PINACA has been detected in human urine using a GC-MS method. This compound is an agonist at the CB1 receptor, with a low potency of activity, and has been shown to produce acute toxicity in vivo. It is structurally related to cannabinoids such as JWH-018 or AM2201, which are also known for their low potency and acute toxicity. 5-fluoro AB-PINACA is an analogue of AB-PINACA that was initially synthesized by Pfizer Inc., but it does not have the same pharmacological effects as the original compound. 5-Fluoro AB-PINACA has been found in synthetic cannabis blends in Germany, and it's use may lead to acute toxicities
