Información del producto
CGP 37849 is an antagonist of the NMDA receptor. It has been shown to inhibit the transcriptional regulation of human dopamine-producing neurons in culture, with a potency that was 3-fold greater than that of MK801. CGP 37849 is also an antagonist of the NMDA receptor and can be used for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. This drug inhibits glutamate release from neurons and may act by blocking or reversing calcium channels or by inhibiting cation channels. CGP 37849 has been shown to increase locomotor activity and improve performance on a rotarod test in rats. The histological analysis showed neuronal death, which was prevented when CGP 37849 was administered prior to administration of neurotoxins.
