CCT241736 also inhibits the growth of human colon cancer cells in vitro and has a good oral bioavailability. The drug was found to be selective for Flt3-ITD, which is responsible for the activation of the receptor tyrosine kinase Fms-like Tyrosine Kinase 3 (FLT3). This inhibition prevents tumor progression by blocking downstream signals from this receptor, leading to cell death.
