Descripción:PD 159020 is a 5-HT1B/1D receptor agonist that is used for the treatment of bladder cancer. It inhibits tumor metastases by inhibiting the activation of caspase-8, which leads to tumor cell death. PD 159020 has also been shown to be effective in the treatment of prostate and breast cancers. This drug blocks cellular proliferation by modulating the activity of deuterated irl-1620, a potent anti-neoplastic agent, which is a cytostatic agent that inhibits DNA synthesis and cell division. PD 159020 may also have an effect on malignant cells because it has been shown to inhibit the growth of paclitaxel-resistant human lung adenocarcinoma cells in vitro.
