Descripción:5-Fluorofuran-2-carboxylic acid is a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) agonist that can be used for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. It can also be used to treat Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, and other neurological disorders. 5-Fluorofuran-2-carboxylic acid is a five-membered heterocyclic compound that is structurally related to benzofurans and has been shown to have an affinity for nAChRs as well as acetylcholine receptors. The drug has been tested in clinical trials and found to improve cognitive function in people with Alzheimer's disease. 5-Fluorofuran-2-carboxylic acid has also been shown to enhance cholinergic transmission.
