Información del producto
Xylenol orange is a reagent for detecting reactive oxygen species that are generated by aerobic microorganisms. Xylenol orange is used in analytical methods to measure the amount of reactive oxygen species in the environment and human serum. It has been shown to be cytotoxic to cells, inhibiting acetylcholinesterase activity and causing increased oxidative stress. Xylenol orange reacts with copper ions, forming blue-green copper complexes that have strong absorbance at 540 nm. This reaction solution can be detected using an optical sensor or a spectrophotometer.
