Descripción:IL-5 is a cytokine that belongs to the group of hematopoietic cytokines. It is an activator of B cells and eosinophils, which are involved in the immune response to infection. IL-5 also stimulates the production of immunoglobulin E (IgE), a type of antibody that plays an important role in allergic reactions. IL-5 has been shown to inhibit ion channels and protein interactions.
