Trimethylsulfonium bromide is a colorless, crystalline solid that belongs to the group of hydroxyl compounds. It has a molecular weight of 257.3 and melting point of -24 °C. Trimethylsulfonium bromide reacts with trifluoroacetic acid to produce sulfonic acid, which is a useful addition for chemical stability in horticultural products.
