Spirobicromane has been shown to have a strong tendency for crystallization at high temperatures (above 130 degrees Celsius). This property makes it suitable for the production of semicrystalline polymers. Spirobicromane also has a low solubility in water, which means that it can withstand high temperatures without decomposition.
