• Descripción: 1,2-Didecanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DDPC) is a phospholipid that is used as an absorption enhancer. DDPC has been shown to have inhibitory effects on propranolol hydrochloride and p-glycoprotein (Pgp). It binds to the Pgp substrate site and blocks the transport of drugs in the cell membrane. This drug is also a model system for studying the hydrophobic effect of phospholipids. The phase transition temperature for DDPC is about 40°C, which indicates its hydrophilic nature. The acyl chain length of this lipid determines its phase transition temperature at different temperatures.
