3-Phenoxybenzoyl chloride is a type of antiplatelet drug that inhibits the action of platelets. It has been shown to be effective in inhibiting the production of thromboxane A2, which is an important mediator in the formation of blood clots. 3-Phenoxybenzoyl chloride blocks the receptor for angiotensin, thereby reducing its ability to cause vasoconstriction and increasing blood flow. This drug also has a number of other activities including inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, antagonistic effects at GABA receptors, and interference with the function of ion channels.
