Descripción

N-Phthaloylglycylglycine is a methyl ester that is used for the synthesis of peptides. It catalyzes the formation of phosphite and chloride from hydrogen chloride and phosphorous acid. N-Phthaloylglycylglycine can also be used as a ligand in coordination chemistry. The carboxylic acid group on the molecule can bind to metal ions, forming complexes with them. This property makes it useful in medicinal chemistry, as well as in organic synthesis.
