Descripción

Petunidin-3-o-galactoside chloride is a natural product that has been found to have antioxidant properties. This compound is an effective inhibitor of reactive oxygen species (ROS) production in vitro, as well as mitochondrial functions and oxidative stress in vivo. The product has also been shown to be an effective inhibitor of proinflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) and interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β). Using a surface methodology, the compound was found to inhibit the growth of cancer cells.
