Descripción:3,6-Dichloro-5-nitropyridazin-4-amine (3,6-DCNP) is a compound that has been shown to be an effective oxidizing agent. It was synthesized in the presence of elemental chlorine and then purified using crystallization. 3,6-DCNP reacts with benzene in the presence of refluxing water to produce hydrogen chloride and nitrobenzene. The target compound is biologically active, as it can inhibit the growth of some bacteria by acting on their DNA. This compound also has a photovoltaic effect, which causes it to emit light when irradiated with UV or visible light.
