Descripción:KIN1408 is a conjugate of retinoic acid and the peptide, KIN, which binds to viral RNA. It has been shown to inhibit the replication of hepatitis C virus in cell culture. In addition, KIN1408 has been shown to reversibly inhibit the synthesis of pro-inflammatory cytokines by blocking the binding of these cytokines to their receptors on cells. KIN1408 also blocks viral gene expression by inhibiting viral RNA helicase activity. This drug has been shown to be effective against syncytial virus and may have potential for treating cancer.
