Descripción:2-Nitrophenyl-5(2H)-tetrazole is a synthetic compound that has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of the enzyme urokinase-type plasminogen activator. This enzyme is responsible for activating plasminogen and converting it into the active form, plasmin, which breaks down fibrin clots in blood vessels. 2-Nitrophenyl-5(2H)-tetrazole binds to the active site of urokinase-type plasminogen activator, preventing it from activating plasminogen. The conjugates of this compound have been shown to be effective in inhibiting cancer cells and inducing apoptosis by binding to DNA.
