The localization of 1-Benzoyl-3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)thiourea depends on its environment. When it is in the presence of hydrogen, it will bind to the hydrogen atom and form an ionic bond. In the presence of nitrogen, it binds by forming a covalent bond with the nitrogen atom. The molecular structure of 1-Benzoyl-3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)thiourea has been determined through spectroscopy and mass spectroscopy. It has been found to have a nitrogen atom and ligands that are composed of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and sulfur atoms.
