Descripción:Estrone-2,4,16,16-d4 is a synthetic estrogen that is used in the treatment of prostate cancer and breast cancer. It has been validated by LC-MS/MS methods to detect estrone-2,4,16,16-d4 in urine samples. The linear regression analysis was performed on the data obtained from the validation study. Results show that estrone-2,4,16,16-d4 can be reliably detected in wastewater effluents at concentrations as low as 1 ng/L. Industrial chemicals such as phthalates and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are found to have a significant correlation with urinary levels of estradiol and its conjugates. This product may also be measured in maternal serum or muscle tissue with an on-line analyzer.
