Descripción:4-[2-[[5-[(Dimethylamino)methyl]furan-2-yl]methylsulfanyl]ethylimino]-1-oxido-1,2,5-thiadiazol-1-ium-3-amine (PD 03055) is an inhibitor of the a7 subunit of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. PD 03055 has been shown to inhibit the binding of acetylcholine and nicotine to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in rat brain tissue, as well as to inhibit the binding of [3H]epibatidine to these receptors in rat cerebral cortex tissue. This peptide is being developed as a research tool for studies on ion channels and protein interactions.
