Carbazeran citrate is a crosslinking agent that belongs to the class of polymers. It is a synthetic polymer containing repeating units of acrylamide and acrylic acid. Carbazeran citrate is used in the production of textile fibers, as well as in cosmetics, such as hair conditioners and shampoos. The crosslinking properties of this compound are activated by radiation from electromagnetic sources, such as sunlight or ultraviolet light, or by chemical activators. Carbazeran citrate has been shown to be an effective photocatalyst for the oxidation of aromatic compounds that can be used for dyeing fabrics.
