(S)-1-Cyclohexyl-4-(4-(2-methoxyphenyl)piperazin-1-yl)-2-methyl-2-phenylbutan-1-one is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor that has shown efficacy in animal models of depression. It acts by binding to the 5HT1A and 5HT2C receptors, which are located in the brain. This drug also blocks dopamine reuptake and increases the release of serotonin in the brain, leading to an antidepressant effect.
