• Descripción: Ombrabulin hydrochloride is a drug used in the treatment of cancer. It is a microtubule-stabilizing agent that interferes with tumor cell growth by inhibiting the production of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). Ombrabulin hydrochloride has been shown to increase the microvessel density in tumors and reduce tumor perfusion, which may be due to its ability to inhibit VEGF production. Ombrabulin hydrochloride also inhibits angiogenesis by blocking the formation of new blood vessels from pre-existing ones, and can be used in combination with radiation therapy and platinum-based chemotherapy. The drug has been approved for use in patients with advanced solid tumors.
