Descripción:3-(4-Bromophenyl)-7-(2-(4-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazin-1-yl)ethoxy)-4H-chromen-4-one is a research tool. It is a potent activator of the TRPA1 ion channel, Ligand for the TrkA receptor and inhibits the phosphoinositide 3 kinase (PI3K). It has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis by binding to ribosomes and inhibiting the function of ribosomal protein S6. This compound has also been shown to be an excellent inhibitor of ion channels, including Kv1.2, Kv1.3, Kvβ3, KCNQ1 and CNG channels.TRPA1 agonists are used as research tools in cell biology and pharmacology.
