Descripción:MW-150 is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the heavy chains of myasthenia gravis autoantibodies. It prevents the binding of these autoantibodies with muscle cells, which inhibits their effect on neuromuscular transmission. MW-150 has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on intracellular signalling pathways in nerve cells, inhibiting neurotransmitter release and blocking calcium influx into the cell. The drug is injected intramuscularly or intravenously and can be used for long periods of time without any significant side effects. MW-150 has been tested in humans and found to be safe and well tolerated.
