Descripción:RuBi-GABA is a ligand that binds to the CB2 receptor. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in animal models of colitis. RuBi-GABA has also been shown to have anticancer activity against various types of carcinoma cells and displays no toxicity against normal cells. This compound was synthesized by bonding the GABA molecule with ruthenium, which is a metal with nitrogen atoms. The biological properties of this compound are not yet fully understood, but it has been shown to be an intramolecular hydrogen bonder and chelate ligand. RuBi-GABA is a coordination geometry that can bind metals such as copper and zinc, which may lead to metabolic disorders in the body. It also acts as a hydrogen bond acceptor or donor depending on its environment, which affects its ability to interact with other molecules like gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA).
