Acrylic acid isoamyl ester is a chemical compound that contains hydroxyl groups, nitrogen atoms and a diameter of about 0.3 nm. It is a reactive site for acrylates and polymerization reactions, as well as reactive with radiation. Acrylic acid isoamyl ester has been used as a cross-linking agent in the production of polyacrylate material and polyurethane foam. Chemical ionization mass spectrometry has been used to identify the molecular weight of acrylic acid isoamyl ester, which is found to be 288 g/mol. It also reacts with zirconium oxide at high temperatures to form an amorphous solid that can be light-exposed to yield photoactive compounds.
