D-Psicose 6-phosphate sodium salt is an anticancer agent that works by inhibiting kinases involved in the regulation of cell growth and apoptosis. It has been shown to induce apoptosis in human cancer cells and inhibit tumor growth in animal models. D-Psicose 6-phosphate sodium salt is also a potent inhibitor of Dabigatran, a drug used for the prevention of blood clots. This compound has analogs that are being developed as potential inhibitors of other kinases involved in cancer progression. Additionally, D-Psicose 6-phosphate sodium salt has been found in urine and may have potential applications as an inhibitor of formoterol, a medication used for the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
