2-(2-Mercaptoethyl)isoindoline-1,3-dione belongs to the class of polymerization initiators that are used in the production of polymers. It is a cross-linking agent and an organic solvent. 2-(2-Mercaptoethyl)isoindoline-1,3-dione can be used as a polymer film, which has been shown to have improved optical properties due to its high refractive index.
