Cryptomeridiol is a triterpene alcohol that is found in the roots of Ophiopogon japonicus, a Chinese herb. Cryptomeridiol has been shown to have metabolic effects and may be used as an alternative therapy for metabolic disorders. The synthesis of cryptomeridiol can be achieved through polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and molecular docking analysis with the root extract.
