This compound may also be used to treat cognitive disorders such as memory loss and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Spiro[4.5]decan-1-one is a nitrogenous compound that has been shown to have anticholinergic effects on cognition in rats. It is thought that its effects are mediated through its ability to block the action of acetylcholinesterase enzymes that break down acetylcholine at synapses in the brain.
