5-Bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl-D-thymidine-3'-phosphate cyclohexylammonium salt is a fluorogenic substrate for the enzyme alkaline phosphatase, which is used in many biochemical assays. This product is a conjugate of 5-bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl D thymidine 3'-phosphate and cyclohexylammonium salt. It has been widely used as a ligand in immunological studies, as well as in food testing and environmental testing. 5BICAP can be used to detect the presence of phosphorous compounds in urine, stool, tissue extracts, or other biological fluids by measuring the formation of fluorescence.
