1-Phenylnonadecane is a natural compound that belongs to the group of unsaturated alkyl. It has been shown to have an effect on the diameter of water vapor and has been used as a regulatory agent for this type of molecule. 1-Phenylnonadecane has also been found to be soluble in organic solvents and is known to have a high affinity for hydroxyl groups. It is also used in chromatographic techniques. 1-Phenylnonadecane can be synthesized from 2,6-dimethylaniline and acetic acid by reacting them with copper chromite in the presence of fatty acids. This process will produce a mixture of mono-, di-, tri-, tetra-, penta-, hexa-, hepta-, octa-, nona-, deca-1-phenylnonadecanes and other compounds, which can then be separated out by ionization techniques such as gas or liquid
