Información del producto
- 1,1'-Cyclopropane-1,2-Diyldibenzene
1,2-Diphenylcyclopropane is a chiral compound with two geometric isomers. It is used in the synthesis of anti-inflammatory compounds. The hydroxyl group on the carbon atom adjacent to the diphenylcyclopropane ring reacts with inorganic acids to form reaction products, which are then hydrolyzed by dialkylamino groups to yield a diphenyl ether and a carbonyl group. The alkynyl group on the other side of the cyclopropane ring reacts with an alkyne or an alkene to form a 1,2-diphenylcyclopropane. The reaction mechanism for this compound is similar to that of 1,3-diphenylpropane.
