Descripción:
n-Octanal Diethyl Acetal is a crystalline cellulose ester that is bactericidal. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria, such as Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, at concentrations of 1% and 2% respectively. This agent may be used in the future for preventing bacterial growth in food products by applying it as a spray or coating. The bactericidal properties of this agent are likely due to its ability to disrupt the membranes of bacteria and cause cell death.
