Descripción:(+)-Isopulegol is a naturally occurring ketone that exists as two enantiomers, (+)-isopulegol and (-)-isopulegol. It is the most abundant member of the terpene class of compounds in leaves. The two enantiomers are optically active and can be distinguished using techniques such as hydroxylamine analysis or eugenol synthesis. (+)-Isopulegol has been shown to have antioxidant properties, inhibiting lipid peroxidation and scavenging radicals, which may be due to its ability to inhibit cyclooxygenase enzymes.
