Descripción:MC 976 is an analog of vitamin D3 that has been chemically modified to inhibit the production of hepatocyte proteins. MC 976 is a cyclopropane derivative and its epimeric carbon is substituted with a tritiated atom. This analog has been shown to be effective in inhibiting the synthesis of human liver proteins in cell culture models. The activity of MC 976 can be reversed by exposure to ultraviolet light or by treatment with an epimerase.
